As it is, the title of this live album reflects a major influence of the band, but we thought, "hey, let's keep it clean--design aesthetic-wise" so we did not use "Motherfuckers!" in the title, figuring it was implied.

This is a live recording taken straight off the mixing board at Cabaret Metro. February 13, is the release date of the original EP by The Leeches, "Urban Camouflage". The performance was recorded with a very poor quality rented video camera, but was recorded in analog SuperVHS HiFi, for excellend sound quality at least. The video is available on YouTube (https://youtu.be/2j8c0HyLnZM) of the whole concert, minus the licensed sync tracks of "Fortunate Son" and "Nervous Breakdown".

All of the songs that were on the EP were played, but some are missing from this live recording because of technical issues. However, new songs were also performed, including "Soul Brother", written by lead guitarist/vocalist Mark Ambrose, and "Seeing In The Dark" & "Peace, Love, & Justice".

Seeing in the Dark This is to you white-bred world! Look out your window And what do you see? Let me tell you brother and sister it’s not misery And what of the man in the ghetto What does he see? A cold compress in the face And a bullet he gets for free And what of the man in South Africa? Not all that glitters is diamonds and gold But you don’t care you’re sold Because you have got your gold And what of the man who’s missing What does he see? A cold dark room in a prison And death by Uzi You don’t know the power of a dictator But you believe what you read Because when you talk of freedom You’ve never seen a dissident bleed And what of those faraway lands Who’s peoples’ only hope Is to eat just one more day and Maybe have more hope And what of the man in the ghetto What does he see? Let me tell you brother and sister it is misery

Reactionary 02:32
Reactionary (The Leader) I can hear the click of the rifles set But we are the targets I can see them storming up the steps They’re heading for the silhouettes I see the leader of the hour Setting forth his solution And I can see people like you and me In a bind without a future Another reign of terror and we are the dead Another aimless error and we have lost our head I can hear the call of the battle charge But it is a sightless order I can hear the trumpet call our name But we are cannon fodder I see the sons and daughters of the world In a bind without a future I can see the writing on the wall And it says there is no future Another peaen to war And only we will die Another fucking war And the rich, they won’t cry I can hear the rotting bodies sing They’re finally free of domestic problems And I can see the shadows following me They’re finally free to give us problems

Right to Robbery This is for the rich man walking down the street The man without bread has a right to robbery This is for the policeman on his beat The kid on the corner has a right to be free This is for the soldier fighting to the beat The enemy also wants to live happily This is for the racist who aims to defeat The Black man is only like you and me So you want to change? But you never will. So you want to help, but you know? You never will! This is for the general with the missiles at his feet The people will end their stupidity And this is for presidents in latin periphery Those countries have a right to autonomy This is for the so-called majority The people will end their stupidity This is for the average person walking down the street: If you’re robbed you’ve the right to robbery So you want to change? But you never will. So you want to help, but you know? You never will!

Pain & Suffering This is our new rallying anthem This is what we’ll use for ranson This is what society brings This is what precludes the kings It’s Pain And Suffering Pain And Suffering This is why we use our knives This is what we do to survive This why the jailbirds sing This is why the rich can swing It’s Pain And Suffering Pain And Suffering This why they rule the world This why the bombs are hurled This is how we lost the war But this is how we’ll even the score It’s Pain And Suffering Pain And Suffering Pain!

Peace… Love… and Justice! You got your rights in your hand In this world what you don’t understand Is why so many people complain Then you’ll know when you feel their pain And if you don’t watch out Don’t forget that it could be you! El Salvador, Central America! There is no dancing in the streets The only dancing’s to the beat of gunfire But when you’re there in the streets The only sound is the sound of gunfire And if you don’t watch out Don’t forget it could be you! Chile, South America! See Augusto Pinochet, and when you’re there you can bet That when the CIA is near That’s when people show their fear And if you don’t watch out Don’t forget it could be you! Peace… Love… and Justice! when your rights aren’t there you can bet That is when the CIA is near That’s when people show their fear And if you don’t watch out Don’t forget it could be you!

Guns from the Caribbean Guns from the Caribbean are aiming for you Guns from the Caribbean are pointed at you! Guns in Cuba are from the CIA Our guns in Viet Nam have seen their day Guns in El Salvador carry our name They say guns in the home are not to blame You walk so well with guilt on your shoulders Heedless of the lives of so many soldiers You walk so well with death in the air You live your life without a fucking care! Guns, Guns, Guns, Guns! From the Caribbean Guns, Guns, Guns, Guns! From the Caribbean It was a year ago It was just a year ago Reagan sent his troops into Grenada... Guns in New York City They don’t say much it don’t sound pretty They sound like they jam down the town Don’t you see they’re going uptown Don’t they sound like they’re just so distant Guns in the trenchtown they make the same old sound As the guns in the city are all around And the guns in Jamaica, and the guns in the Kingston town And the guns in the shanty towns shatter the sound Of the saints and the sinners all around Let’s Rock! Guns in the USSR are not to near Guns in Europe are not to fear Guns in Africa it’s only color they kill The guns in your pocket, of course are for nil You walk so well with the rules in your pocket In effect you plug your fingers in the electric socket You walk so well with a swastika on your lips You live on the curve of a woman’s hips Guns, Guns, Guns, Guns! From the Caribbean Guns, Guns, Guns, Guns! From the Caribbean Guns, Guns, Guns, Guns, Guns, Guns, Guns, Guns, Guns, Guns, Guns, Guns, Guns Guns!

about

The Leeches Chicago, Illinois

Taking an axe to the era of the moral majority, greed, and reagan, The Leeches grooved and riffed with the sounds of the street: rappers poetry got them off their seats, rebels shuffled to their 4/4 beats.
